Description

This material is part of the Elementary Montessori Zoology study. Using Nomenclature cards to learn about life cycles is an effective way for children to develop an understanding of the world, and to help them gain awareness of concepts such as life, death and birth. Studying life cycles also enhances logical sequencing and biological classification. In the primary years, children organize the materials to create a logical sequence of the life cycle of an butterfly, and to learn about the external parts of a butterfly. At the elementary level, children deepen their knowledge and can conduct research using the descriptions found in the booklets. The material consists of 54 three-part cards, two booklets, and a black outlined master.
