This material satisfies the Early Childhood Montessori language curriculum. “Capitalization” is a stand-alone material created to allow children to capitalize the first word in a sentence and the pronoun “I.” The material meets the current Common Core State Standard: CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.K.2.a. “Capitalization” includes 32 sets of activities in which children use a corresponding overlap cards to capitalize words in a given sentence. Each set consists of two identical sentences with a cloze test. Children analyze the two sentences, and select a corresponding card among two choices.
