Description
This material satisfies the Early Childhood Montessori language curriculum. “Homonyms” is a stand-alone material created to allow children to develop awareness of words that look alike or/and sound alike and can mean completely different things. The material meets the current Common Core State Standard: CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.K.4. “Homonyms” includes 72 sets of activities in which children use context clues (pictures) to determine the meaning of homonyms in two constrating sentences. The first set contrasts nouns to nouns. The second set contrasts nouns to verbs. This exercise promotes analytic and literacy skills.
