Description

This material is part of the Montessori history curriculum for elementary level. The seven days of the week may have originated as an interval between marketing days. The seven days of the week also make nearly one fourth of a lunar month. Through learning the derivation of the names of the week, children develop an appreciation for time and history. The material consists of 24 three-part cards, one booklet, and one wallchart. The nomenclature cards contain a description, a label, and a picture card for matching purposes. The wallchart represents all the parts together. The booklet serves as control for error for the nomenclature matching work.
