Description
This material is part of the Chemistry curriculum for elementary. Children have learned about the parts of an atom, and the way elements are classified. This material provided an insight of the 20 first elements of the Periodic Table of the Elements. Learning about the first 20 elements suffice to understand the core of chemistry. They exemplify how atoms behave, and are bound to form molecules, and more complex compounds. This material consists of 60 three-part cards, two booklets, and two wallcharts. The three-part nomenclature cards introduce children to the characteristics of each element: hydrogen, helium, lithium, beryllium, boron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, fluorine, neon, sodium, magnesium, aluminum, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, chlorine, argon, potassium, and calcium. The nomenclature cards contain a description, a label, and a picture card for matching purposes. The three wallcharts represent all the parts together. The booklets serve as control for error for the nomenclature matching work.
