Description
This material is part of the Montessori Language Arts for the elementary level. Primary children ages 5-6 are introduced to the parts of speech using a miniature environment along with key experiences. At the elementary level, children continue to study the parts of speech through a miniature environment. They are also introduced to the Grammar Boxes, which provide manipulatives to study the parts of speech in context. Grammar Symbol Nomenclature cards provide children with the definition of each part of speech, and independent practice which helps them integrate the knowledge. The material consists of 10 sets of three-part nomenclature cards that contain a description, a label, and a picture card for matching purposes. There is one wallchart representing all the parts of speech together. The booklet serves as control for error for the nomenclature matching work.
