Description

This material is part of the History curriculum for elementary. The Hour Timeline is as long as the circumference of a clock. To illustrate this relationship, the line is placed around the clock during the initial presentation. Children learn that clocks and watches are made round because of the gearing mechanism that rotates the hands for the time. The set of command cards is used; the child is directed to place an arrow on the strip to indicate the hour, and one of the a.m or p.m. cards. This experience is very important, because in history the timelines are linear. This material consists of a 12 hour timeline, 24 command cards, two cards for a.m. and p.m., and one arrow card.
